To ensure the best possible results from your laser treatment, please follow the aftercare instructions below carefully, following these instructions will optimise your treatment results with laser and minimise the risk of any complications! ✧
Aftercare Instructions
Immediately after treatment 0-48 hours:

Do not touch, rub, or apply any non-recommended products to the treated area.

A mild stinging or tingling sensation is normal for a few hours post-treatment. You may use a cold compress to soothe the area—ensure a clean barrier (e.g., cloth) is placed between your skin and the compress.

Gently cleanse with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser if needed. Pat dry with a clean towel - do not rub.

Avoid heat and sweating: no hot showers, saunas, intense exercise, or spa treatments.

Keep the area dry and makeup-free.

Redness and small bumps in the treated area are normal and may last several days.
1-5 Days Post Treatment:​

Continue to avoid heat, direct sun exposure, and harsh skincare products.

Apply SPF 50+ daily, even indoors or near windows.

Do not use active or irritating products, including:

Hydroquinone
-
Bleaching creams
-
Tretinoin or retinol
-
Benzoyl peroxide
-
Chemical peels
-
Glycolic or salicylic acid
(Avoid for at least 2 weeks post-treatment.)

Moisturise with a soothing, non-irritating moisturiser (e.g., ceramide-based or aloe vera-based).

Stay hydrated - drink plenty of water to support skin recovery.

Avoid rubbing or friction on the treated area for at least three days.
-
Allow skin to heal naturally: do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking or scabbing.
-
Change your pillowcases regularly to avoid introducing bacteria to the healing skin.

Mild redness, swelling, or warmth in the treated area is normal and may last up to 24–72 hours post-treatment.

In addition to the general aftercare instructions above, please follow the guidelines for your treament type below. These address the unique healing and skin responses for each procedure

Expect redness and swelling, which may last 24–72 hours.

Pigmentation may darken before fading gradually over 7–14 days.

Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 4 weeks and apply SPF 50+ daily.

Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate the treated areas.
-
Avoid active skincare products (e.g., retinol, acids, hydroquinone) for 2 weeks.

Mineral makeup may be applied once redness subsides

Mild redness and warmth are normal for 24–48 hours.

Use cool compresses as needed to relieve heat or swelling (always place a clean barrier between skin and compress).

Avoid sun exposure for 4 weeks post-treatment.

Do not wax, pluck, or thread the treated area until it has fully healed.

Avoid harsh exfoliants or active skincare products for 2 weeks.

Redness and sensitivity are common for a few hours to up to 48 hours.

Apply a cool compress to soothe the area if needed.

Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF 50+ daily for at least 2 weeks.

Do not wax, pluck, or thread — only shaving is allowed between sessions.

Avoid hot showers, saunas, or intense workouts for 24–48 hours.

Refrain from using retinol, acids, or exfoliating products on the treated area for 5–7 days.

Keep the area clean and moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion.
-
Keep the treated area clean and dry for the first 24 hours.
-
If recommended by your practitioner, apply a thin layer of ointment (e.g., Aquaphor or similar).
-
Avoid soaking the area - no swimming, spas, or baths until fully healed.
-
If needed, cover with a sterile dressing to prevent friction or contamination.
-
Do not pick scabs or blisters - this can lead to scarring or pigmentation changes.
